Kate Hutchinson and Julie Isaacson felt on fire at The Art Center gala, representing East on Central. This fine and fun event represents the blessings in Highland Park. The joy in creativity of art, dance, music and overall talent was impressive and unforgettable. We had the opportunity to receive praise for our contributions from Terri Olian Director of the Highland Park Community Foundation, Clay Stamper from Wayfarer Theater, and Steve Sarowitz, receiving an award for his contribution to the Arts. James Lynch, Director of The Art Center has always been supportive of our work. Being elevated and appreciated within the community is a tremendous source of pride for our group. Our Journal and programs have an impact and our next publication will be another bright flame!

and Alumnus of Highland Park Schools
Tuesday, August 1, 2023
Trinity Episcopal Church, 425 Laurel Ave, Highland Park
Austin Warshawsky is a poet and filmmaker from Highland Park, Illinois. He began his film and poetic career early, directing his first films and writing poems as a teenager. Austin believes poetry can stand alone, but film without poetry is groundless. He aims to weave these two forms of expression to reinvigorate poetic cinema. as was done by the filmmakers Andrei Tarkovsky, Pier Poalo Passolini and Philippe Garrel. Austin, now 22, waits to hear back from graduate film programs. For more information on Austin’s artistic contributions, google his name. https://filmfreeway.com/AWFNone
